Keywords:

In this article we begin by exposing the ethical problems that may arise in xenotransplantation from different normative perspectives. After this, we elaborate a brief historical retrospective about xenotransplantation. Afterwards, we collect the main scientific data, some studies on public opinion, the legal framework and the responses of different ethical committees regarding xenotransplantation. Finally, we will defend the impermissibility of xenotransplantation from a principialist perspective that includes non-human animals.
